Before we headed off to Silencio for our fiesta de despedida, the Villa group got some last adventuring in. A couple of days ago we visited the Waterfall de Llanos Cortés, one of Costa Rica’s highlights. In addition to the main waterfall, there is a secluded waterfall only accessible by hiking up and around; it was well worth it. The next day, we got to go snorkeling to two different sites. We saw a huge school of jack – hundreds of them swimming together in silvery glory – and a couple of spotted eagle rays! Here are some highlights:
